What makes me angry

What makes me angry

Being trapped
Being afraid
No space for escape

Polite conventions
Keeping the balance
Tongue tied in a knot to keep the thoughts inside

Why is my voice so unimportant?
Secondary to everyone else
Where can I be heard?

Are my feelings so unimportant I must defer to others
Why do they not consider their impact on those around them
Someone else, me, tidying up in the aftermath.

The Deepest Sorrow

I wish I felt anything but anger when I see a pregnant woman, affectionately caressing the home in which her baby grows safely. Pain wears the veil of anger so as not to be seen. It buries itself deep in the heart of me where it is safe fr...
