Happy in Nature

What makes me happy? The Big Outdoors!!
Nature makes me feel so at peace.
There are so many things about society and modern day living that feels wrong.
Just taking some time away from the hustle and bustle; breathing lungfuls of air which isn't muggy, a rest from man made invention and all the complicated comings and goings and responsibilities that come with being a 'grown up'.
I love rambling through forests and scavenging on beaches, jumping over rock pools, shouting in caves, running (ok huffing and puffing in a wobbly jog) up hills, being blown around the moors, hugging trees, skinny dipping in loch's, finding jacuzzi in rivers; all the while collecting sea glass and pebbles and pine cones and shells and picking posies...
I can stand on a cliff, looking out to sea and see nothingness and yet feel everything.
And I never want jump off.
It makes me feel more complete, more connected to the world. It makes me feel better about myself. It clears my head, takes away judgement, blows away the cobwebs and always leaves me feeling more secure in myself.
It makes me feel stronger, I feel vulnerable in a new way, insignificant in a way that takes away the pressure of being or not being 'normal' or 'sane'. I feel at one with the world, protected by mother natures beauty and strength.
I feel like a cog in a well oiled machine made of flesh and bone and soil and sunshine and stardust, that is just exactly where and who she needs to be.

Night Time

I wake myself up crying, the real primal kind, where the tears don't come before the wailing, and the writhing in the pit of the stomach. I curl up in fetal position, as if folding myself in half will somehow squeeze out the pain, or maybe...
