Having suffered with depression and anxiety since I was 16 ( it had manifested since primary school), and recently still, I have made a few positive steps to recovery. I had a bad spell at work, and after speaking to my manager and taking 4 weeks sick leave, I have went back to work feeling positive and channelling a new mindset.
I'll admit, not everyday is a good day, but even getting through one day is better than nothing at all. Taking time for myself has helped focus on me and how I feel and how I want to be, is giving me a new perspective. It's ok to not be ok, and those who love you will understand that you need days to reset.
